Payment for Services
- We are committed to providing your pet with the best possible care and would be happy to discuss our fees with you at any time. Your clear understanding of our financial policy is important to our professional relationship.
- Payment is due at the time of service. In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.
- We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks (we do not accept checks for new clients), and cash. Prepayment may be required prior to providing services such as emergencies, infectious disease cases (i.e. leptospirosis and parvovirus), and new clients.
- Kauai North Shore Animal Clinic offers third party financing options through; CareCredit and Scratchpay for invoices over $250.
CareCredit
How it works: CareCredit works just like a regular credit card, but without high interest rates, annual fees or pre-payment penalties. You can use your CareCredit card over and over for all your pet’s follow-up care as well as annual exams and vaccines. So you can focus on what really matters, like playing fetch and learning new tricks.
Scratchpay
How it works: Apply for a plan at scratchpay.com from your phone or desktop. Check your rate and pick your payment plan. If approved, your practice will be notified to finalize your plan, and the approved funds will be sent directly to them for your medical bills. If your plan is not finalized, it will naturally expire and your down payment will be reimbursed. Kauai Humane Society
The Kaua'i Humane Society offers low-cost medical exams to pet-owners at their Community Care Center. KHS offers low-cost spay and neuter and low cost basic pet care, such as vaccinations and microchipping. We encourage all pet owners to establish a relationship with one of Kaua’i’s private veterinary clinics as KHS is not available on a consistent basis and cannot handle certain medical issues.
