Licensed Veterinary Technician (Full-Time)

Kaua‘i North Shore Animal Clinic is seeking a skilled, motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a fast-paced, high-standard practice committed to delivering thoughtful, high-quality care while maintaining an efficient and supportive work environment.

This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in their technical skills, enjoys a dynamic caseload, and wants to be an integral part of a collaborative, growth-focused team.

We are a locally owned clinic providing comprehensive veterinary care on Kaua‘i’s North Shore. Our caseload is diverse and engaging, and our systems are designed to support efficiency, communication, and high-level medicine. What You’ll Do

• Assist with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Perform dentals, including full mouth radiographs and charting
• Execute advanced technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and in-house lab work
• Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Support appointment flow with efficiency and attention to detail
• Educate clients clearly and confidently on treatment plans and patient care
• Maintain accurate, real-time medical records using our digital system (Vetspire)
• Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to ensure seamless patient care

What We’re Looking For

• Active LVT, CVT, or RVT license (or eligibility for Hawai‘i licensure)
  Highly experienced technicians (10+ years, especially with ER or high-acuity experience) are encouraged to apply even if not licensed
• Strong technical and anesthesia skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate needs and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Clear, professional communicator with both clients and team
• A team player who is accountable, reliable, and solution-focused
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and continuous learning

• Comfortable and confident handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Eager to expand your skills (including handling pocket pets, chickens, and more)

• Clear, professional communicator with both clients and team members
• Reliable and punctual—your team can count on you
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods

What You’ll Do

• Assist with patient handling during exams and procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and support appointment flow
• Maintain a clean, organized hospital environment
• Monitor and care for patients to ensure comfort and safety
• Support the veterinary team with day-to-day clinical operations
